1 Place the cabbage in a bowl and add hot water, enough to cover
2 Add 1 tablespoon of lemon and ½ teaspoon salt and mix well
3 Leave for 30 minutes
4 Drain the cabbage
5 Add the onions and repeat steps 1,2 & 3

6 Drain the bowl squeeze lightly to remove any excess water
7 Add ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper and 1½ teaspoons lemon juice and mix well.
8 Leave until cool
9 When cool cover with cling film and chill.
10 Serve with anything you want.
